Duration of internship and timings

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

You are supposed to report sharply at 9, obviously in formals. You will get a pad and a pen and an attendance card will be made in your name which you need to punch daily in the machine.

Infrastructure is quite good and the firm is designed with antique materials.

Your mobile is confiscated outside and you have to spend 10 hours without it.

Main tasks

Tasks were basically related to research on the ongoing cases. Cases were to be found out on a certain topic and you need to brief the associates regarding the facts of those cases. I was also sent to Patent Office to get some information. I also prepared a flowchart of the criminal trial process.

On Saturday’s every intern is supposed to submit an article on a current legal topic which is checked by Associates .

Work environment and people

Very good work environment, the associates were very helpful and generous. They gave the work on the basis of one’s preference. But if there is some work which need urgent attention you may have to remain in the Firm till the task is done which may in certain cases is the whole night. But then you can take the half day , the very next day if you have stayed up all night.

Best things

The fact that you have to sit for a minimum period of 10 hours without your mobile is one thing i will appreciate most. Moreover you get paid 10,000 but you need to justify the 10,000 amount by showing that you have done that much work (it is determined by preparing clientele).

Bad things

There were around 15 interns at that time, so most of the time ,i was idle. Moreover you are not allowed to go out in the 10 hrs time, even for lunch.

Biggest Lessons

Hard work along with dedication is the one and only way to survive in the legal field. Life is very tough and internship at Titus grooms you for that. One should intern at least once in the 5 year duration.

In a PG named Mehra’ PG just 300m away from the Firm.

Office Timings

9 am to 7 pm sharp. 6 days a week. Strict timings. If you get late you need to complete the 10 hours.
