Internship @ Tata Motors, Pune: Beautiful Campus but Little Work

The campus is huge. However, the legal department only had 5 employees.

I sent in a mail to Tata Motors’ Mumbai HR department- nisha.achary@tatamotors.com, they took a telephonic interview and then selected me.

Timings? Number of working days per week?

6 working days, 8:30am to 5pm.

First Impression? First day? Formalities?

The first day was actually really scary. To those of you who don’t know, the Tata Motors branch in Pune has a HUGE campus, so huge that you need to take a bus to go from one end to the other.

Near the entrance, there are lines where you are frisked. After missing my bus the first day, I finally managed to reach.

Work Environment? People?

The people were very warm and helpful.

One thing I have to tell you is that since it is a car-manufacturing unit, and the offices are in the same campus as the chassis-manufacturing units, there are very few women around and lots of workers everywhere.

So for a girl, it can get a little awkward.

Best things?

This internship will teach you how to survive in a big corporate; how to conduct yourself, how to find your way around the campus.

The best thing about Tata Motors is they treat their employees really well; breakfast, lunch and evening snacks are provided by the company. Also, the bus service they provide makes travelling very convenient.

Accommodation: How? Where? Reviews?

Since I study in Pune, I stayed at my PG. Otherwise, finding accommodation can be a difficult as the campus is in the outskirts of Pune.

What did you do to chill? Co-interns?

Unfortunately, I had no co-interns 🙁
