First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The office was pretty impressive, huge space and well furnished. There was provisions for snacks and coffee machines were there.

Formals are compulsory for interns . they will provide you with entry pass.

Main tasks

Since it was my first internship and i had no experience so they assigned me with research work only, since it was their corporate office they had no court visits and legal department was very experienced but less busy because this company owes 7 largest sugar mills and their mostly work comes up when there are sugar disputes which arises in winters.so my main task was to research case laws and legal provisions.

Work environment and people

Its a big corporate block so everyone had a very sophisticated persona , there was an awkward silence like they have in big corporate offices but interns were treated very good .they will show you leniency and will exempt you from the work also, if you present them with a proper genuine reason .

Best things

Since it was my first internship I learned the basic procedures and lifestyle of corporate offices, got some life tips and professions tips from really experienced and talented lawyers.

There office is in film city so I got a chance to see many celebrities and even visited sets of many tv shows (mostly daily soaps).

Bad things

It was way out of my league. Since I had no idea about any corporate law, ipr, competition law.

I had real trouble finding material during research work and even with interacting people.

Any Other Thing

Never intern in corporate office if you have not studied ipr, corporate law, business law etc.

It should be your last resort, because it will not only waste your time but will also create confusion in your mind.
