First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The office is situated in the 2nd floor of Toshali Bhawan, which also holds many other such commissions.
First day was light. Just an introduction to the working of Human rights commission and rules and regulation in that regard.
Main tasks
The main task was to study the case files, attend the court hearing. Which then lead to a interactive question, answer and reasoning session between the interns and the judge.
Work environment and people
Work environment is friendly and people are flexible for interns in order to provide a better atmosphere for learning.
However, no indiscipline is tolerated regarding the behavior in the court room.
Best things
Best thing was getting knowledge about IPC and CRPC and the chance to experience/learn the court room ethics.
Another thing is obviously the open wi-fi available.
Bad thing
There’s no canteen, neither for staff nor for interns.
Stipend
No stipend.
