First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The IFCI office is definitely one of the best places to work in. You will simply be awestruck when you first enter the office.
On the first day, I had to report to the HR Department who directed me to the Legal Department. They gave me a desk and PC at the legal department and gave me a brief orientation as to how the Department functioned and what were the key tasks there.
Main tasks
IFCI is basically a lender which provides loans to companies and industries. So a lot of drafting and research work was given to me. Especially drafting Corporate Loan Agreements, Hypothecation deeds, Mortgage deeds etc.
I was also given the task of assisting my seniors there with matters before the Debt Recovery Tribunal, Jhandewalan, New Delhi as well as Arbitration Proceedings. The basic work there was legal drafting, legal research.
Work environment and people
IFCI has the best work environment to work in. The working hours are from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, but if there is some important work that can not be delayed then you must stay late and complete the work. You have a lunch break at around 1:30 when you can have lunch etc.
The people at IFCI are very co-operative and very professional. They will always be guiding you, explaining the work that they have assigned to you, and clear your doubts in the work assigned. They are very good colleagues/seniors to work with.
Best things
The best things would have to be:
1. The Office, which is really swanky and big.
2. The People there, who will be very co-operative.
3. The other amenities in the office (Library, TT Table, Gym etc.)
Bad things
I did not experience even a single bad thing during the duration of my internship. It was a memorable experience.

No Stipend
Biggest Lessons
The biggest lessons that I learnt during my internship with IFCI was that I learnt to enjoy work because I did not feel like I was getting bogged down doing the task/work assigned to me. Also, adjusting myself in an organization with over 300 employees was altogether a new experience for me which was truly memorable.
The biggest lesson that I learnt during my internship was that, no matter what task has been given to you, you must not think that you will not be able to complete it. If you have the confidence in you, then you will never fail in your career or your life.
