Duration of internship and timings
28th December, 2010 – 17th January, 2011
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
There were no formalities as such. I was given a work station on my first day. The infrastructure was good and for 5 Associates, a Partner and a couple of interns, it was spacious as well.
Main tasks
The main tasks were research, drafting and preparing case notes and occasional court visits.
Work environment and people
Good work environment and all the associates were extremely helpful. The long hours turned out to be quite frustrating at times, when there wasn’t enough work.
Best things
The best thing about this internship was the excellent work environment and helpful associates.
Bad things
1. Loads of free time.
2. Lack of interaction with the partner.
3. Court visits were less.
Stipend
None
Biggest Lessons
Learnt a lot about court procedure. Which by the way, is a lot different from what is taught to us.
