First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Nothing as such. Be formal. Everyone is friendly and co-operative. Be on time and reach Chamber No. 433-34, Western Wing, Tis Hazari Court, New Delhi.
Main tasks
Drafting, written pleadings, daily court cases and research work for sub-judice matters. The cases were mainly at Tis Hazari Court and High Court.
I learned to work upon drafting of Legal Notices, Reply, Rejoinder, Preparation of Final Arguments, Legal Research Work, Preparation for Cross and Re-examination of Witnesses.
Work environment and people
Small place. Environment is good. People are friendly and wont treat you as a typical intern.
Best things
Court visits. Chicken biryani and the experience of being in a district court.
Bad things
Nothing as such. Not much things to learn.
Stipend
None.
Biggest Lessons
Good for 1st year students to acquaint themselves with the court rooms and learn basic drafting and research.
