First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

When I reached his chamber in High Court, and met sir, it was a splendid feeling.

One needs to submit his photograph, college office recommendation letter and personal details, so that High Court entry pass can be issued.

Its the government Advocate General Chamber. So it was good from inside.

Main tasks

Main Task was attending courts and create a summary of proceeding that were going on.

Sometimes files were given to read and opinion need to be drafted.

I was also made to search Case Laws.

Work environment and people

The work environment was very good.You get to know and talk to many lawyers and get a first hand information about the legal system.

Best things

Best things for me would be the office environment. Everyone was very cooperative and made me feel as a part of the team.

I was not treated any different and was given full freedom to express my concern regarding any matter and put forth my point of view and ask questions if required.

Bad things

Sometimes it was a boring day you have to think to go outside the court and have a chit chat as in court you are not allowed to talk or use phone.

Stipend

Knowledge is the only stipend.

Biggest Lessons

Well the lesson I learned is how to communicate with people as I was shy person before and I have to do a lot of work so made me more responsible.

Accommodation

Localite of Jaipur so I didn’t need an accommodation but near office there are a lot of pg available at cheap rates.

Office Timings

9 AM – 6 PM and Saturday and Sunday will be holiday.
