As they usually get good number of internship application so you must follow them up after sending your CV.

Duration of internship and timings

4 weeks, 10 AM to 5 PM.

However, on Saturdays we were allowed to leave early.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On the first day I was let into a room where other interns were already sitting and later on we all were subjected to fill up a personal questionnaire, mentioning our details.

After this we had a small meeting with the Chairperson Mr. Avdhash Kaushal where he acquainted us with the RLEK and its functioning.

RLEK is situated in a locality of Suryalok colony in Rajpur Road, and has an entire building of its own.

It also had the separate dormitory for boys and girls in the same building which was available for interns at very reasonable rates.

Main tasks

RLEK has the golden feather of Limestone Quarries case of Dehradun to its hat, which led to the closure of limestone quarrying in Doon Valley.

RLEK functions in the areas comprising Environment protection and creating awareness among the poor rural population of Uttarakhand about their rights and various facilities provided by the Government.

We were asked to translate various social legislation in easy and comprehensible form for the rural population.

We had to organize street plays and make placards for the schools run by RLEK.

Work environment and people

Work environment is very conducive and friendly and there was not much work.

However, we were supposed to submit our work within deadline and were also scolded for non compliance.
