Email: legallitwing-dslsa@nic.in
Duration of internship and timings
7th July, 2014 to 28th July, 2014
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
We were called at a conference hall where we would have lectures for two days on various topics. We were required to register ourselves there and then only we were allowed inside the hall.
We were allotted to various groups that day only and were provided with group incharges. It was a very huge conference hall enough to accommodate us all.
Main tasks
We were not required to do much of the things. We were just required to observe all the places where we went and at the end of the internship we were required to submit a report as to what all we had observed.
Work environment and people
The people were very coordinating. I enjoyed being with them and the officials of DSLSA were so helping that they even helped in finding out a place to live who had no place to live in Delhi. The work environment was quite strict as we had to be punctual. There was attendance each and every day.
Best things
The best thing was that we were taken to the courts. We were taken to the High Court as well as the Supreme Court. And this is what a law student desires, to be to the Supreme Court at least once in life.
We were also given practical knowledge.
Bad things
The bad thing was that we were given only practical knowledge and not theoretical knowledge which is also the need of the hour. Though we were provided lectures for continuously two days, but in my opinion that didn’t suffice.
Stipend
No, there was no stipend.
Biggest Lessons
I was able to see through ground realities of life as well as the realities of the Courts. We were taken to the slums also. You can know what is going around you very well.
