Duration of internship and timings
I interned at the Bangalore office starting from 26th November to 22nd December.
Office timing were 10:30 am to 7:30 pm.
Second Saturday and Sunday were holidays.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
First impression; wow, what a library, you can’t imagine such a wonderful library located on the ground floor.
No doubt, AZB and Partners operated there.
The office is located on Cunningham road in front of Accenture Group building.
The office structure is great.
It felt like entering a real office with all amenities available.
On my first day, I was asked to approach Ms. Thaseen Bano who is the internees in-charge at the firm.
She confirmed my internship letter and then provided me with an open cabin attached with a table, chair and a PC.
You can’t bring your own laptops to the office and can only operate on the systems provided.
Main tasks
I choose to work on litigation work.
Hence was given tasks mainly on civil and infrastructure law.
It was like going through Civil Procedure Code again.
I was directly assigned under associates of the office and whenever they were in need of some research work or reviews on the case, I was appointed with the same.
Work environment and people
The people of Bangalore are kind and loving and so the office environment depicts the same.
Whenever I was in any problematic situation, the associates helped me.
It was my first internship in Bangalore and I was a stranger to the place.
This led to accommodation problem.
On such occasion, Geeta Ma’am who is the Senior associate helped me to find one.
But the office work were strict to their timings.
When you are asked to do any task, you have to prepare a daily report and update it on networks, so that any one can go through your progress charts.
Best things
I loved the work culture at Anup S Shah.
It felt like professional, coming daily to the office at 10:30 am and after doing the work leaving at 8:00 pm.
You have to wear formals and have to carry your coat, in case you have make a court visit.
Bad things
There were no bad things as such.
The only problem I came across was the accommodation since I was new to the place.
Later, that also got solved.
Stipend
Rs 5000/-
Biggest Lessons
Well, If you want to experience that how a real firm operate and if you are willing to work in a real office, you should actually apply for Anup S Shah.
Any Other Thing
Cunningham Road is like in the center of Bangalore.
Eat pure South Indian food, visit Malls, do shopping and what not.
You are in the Tech City of India.
