First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

My first day was quite simple.

I was asked to report directly to chamber at High Court. Chamber was full of Law Books and case files.

Main tasks

Main task include drafting of applications and filling of matters and getting certified copies of proceedings. There was as such not too much work. You will get ample of time to observe court proceeding.

Work environment and people

One Word. Awesome!! People was really awesome. Lawyers in the court do lots of gossip outside court room in corridor.

Work environment was really good, no stress at all. No time limit; just quality of work is required.

Best things

Treats after Court time (after all, we are students).

She gives lots of treats during and after court timing in nearby cafes. She was really helpful.

Bad things

Traffic. Indore is bad at Traffic.

Biggest Lessons

I learned lots of aspect of civil Law. This was my first internship with a civil lawyer.

As she was also Standing counsel of Union of India, so come across many interesting cases.

Accommodation

There are lots of PG available nearby High Court at very cheap rate.

Office Timings

Normally 10 to 4. But when there is no cases or work, you will be asked to leave if you want. Flexible in timing.
