First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
When I reached the office around 10.30 a.m. I met Mr. Bihari Lal Agrawal with whom I had a small interaction. He asked me about my studies, my aim, etc. and then gave me a civil suit to read and to make brief of that case.
The office is situated on the first floor and has a well built infrastructure with the office divided into two divisions, i.e. High Court division and District Court division.
Main tasks
The main task at this internship was to read the files of the different civil matters and to research for the cases there. We had to find out the relevant case laws for the different civil matters. Also we used to go with the Sir to the courts to gain the practical knowledge there and we also learnt the procedure involved in the civil matters i.e. from filing till the disposal of the case.
Work environment and people
The work environment at the office was very cooperative as the associates were very friendly and supportive. They had a wonderful sense of humor and used to treat me as their son. They used to teach me and had a very polite and kind behavior towards me.
Best things
The best thing was that I got to learn the practical procedure of the civil law at this internship. The work environment as mentioned above was amazing and this internship helped me to learn both the practical as well as theoretical aspects of the civil law.
Bad things
Nothing happened to be called as a bad experience.

Biggest Lessons
The biggest lesson from this internship was that a lawyer’s time and advice are his stock in trade so, one should focus more on gaining knowledge as a law student rather the showing off because knowledge gained at this stage helps a person a lot in its future.
