First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The first day is always special. I introduced myself to the office authorities and was introduced to my other colleagues and supervisor.
My supervisor gave me instructions regarding the work the advocates dealt with and the monthly agenda of my visit there to learn and expose myself to the best possible opportunities to learn.
Main tasks
a. Did extensive case law and statutory research on the Indian Penal Code; case law research on Prevention on corruption act.
b. Assisted the associates in research work over the matters related with mining law, constitutional law.
c. Summarised and made briefs of related matters and was also involved in research work of same matters.
d. Exposed to the procedure involved in writs and appeal in High Court.
e. Attended court proceeding on regular basis.
Work environment and people
The work environment was very good. You get to know and talk to many lawyers and get a first hand information about the legal system.
Best things
Best thing was sir explained things very well if anyone has any doubt. He has great in-depth knowledge.
