First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
There was a warm atmosphere with welcome faces. This was followed by enrollment in the party register and orientation program. The office was spacious but certainly not well furnished.
Main tasks
a. Assisted in all legal work relating to election Campaign like getting permission for rallies from Collectors office and district magistrate’s office.
b. Assisting in filing of nominations of respective candidates.
c. Did a survey of individuals belonging to rural areas.
d. Took part in electoral research.
e. Assisted in solving their legal queries.
Work environment and people
The work environment at Aam Aadmi Party, Jaipur is well organised.The people are very humble since it is a voluntary organisation.
Best things
One has the opportunity to work on legal matter which he likes if it is for public good. It is good for those who have completed first semester.
Bad things
It was a very heavy duty internship.There was a lot of non-legal work which included things like taking part in flash mobs, membership drives, etc.
Stipend
None for all.
Biggest Lessons
Its just an introduction to working in an office. Would recommend only to for semester- I BA.LLB students.
