Address: Vylopilly Lane, Azad Road, Kaloor, Cochin-682017
Duration
20th May, 2014 – 13th June, 2014 (4 weeks)
First Day
Office is good and consists of all books that is required by a lawyer.
There was no specific cubicle allotted for interns as such.
No formalities but it had a very friendly atmosphere.
Main tasks
Main task was to report to the High court in the morning based on where you have been told to go by the Advocates and also to read the cases or topic that has been given to you by the lawyer himself before the case is heard in the court.
At times, Sir will tell you to listen to a particular case and later, to explain what you have understood from the said case.
Work environment
Work environment was amazing.
The Advocate as well as the associates are very friendly.
They introduced me to several other fellow lawyers and their interns.
They treat you like a part of the team and not just an intern.
Best things
The office itself. The way every single person treats you is just wonderful.
Bad things
None really.
Stipend
None
Biggest Lessons
How to phrase arguments in the court and the way to deal with the judges no matter what situation you are in.
