First Day
The first day consisted of basic introductions and orientation. Since this office mainly deals with criminal cases, primarily bail cases, it would help if you brush up IPC and CrPC before starting with the internship.
They have a well equipped chamber at the Gujarat High Court Chamber No. 416
Main tasks
The first part of the day usually consisted of observing the court proceedings of Sir’s matters that were listed that day. It was followed by a discussion with Vishal Sir on the legal and technical points involved in that case.
The firm basically deals with criminal matters so it would be good for one to know about procedural subjects like Evidence, CrPC, CPC and IPC.
Environment
The associates are all helpful and willing to answer any and every question you may have. They in fact encourage you to analyze everything critically and come up with as many questions as possible. Especially Vishal Sir is always there to help with every possible doubt one has and every time with patience he explained every case. Even the other associate Kurnal Sir was also very helpful.
Best things
Everybody at this office encourages you to ask any doubts you have, and clarifies it in an elaborate manner. I also liked the exposure this internship provides to criminal litigation, and its various procedures.
Office Timings
The office timings for the interns were from 9.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday are relaxed.
