About the organiser:

Centre for Law Technology and Innovations, School of Law, Bennett University in collaboration with National Law School of India University, Bengaluru and funded by UNDP-GEF (GLOBAL ABS PROJECT) titled “Strengthening Human Resources, Legal Frameworks and Institutional Capacities to implement the Nagoya Protocol”.

This project aims to develop the information, education, communication and training amongst the different stakeholders in the implementation of Biodiversity Laws in India.

About the conference:

This workshop is being organised with the objectives to increase legal awareness in Conservation of Biodiversity and Access and Benefit Sharing, to enhance discourse on legal and scientific research in the field of Biodiversity, and to assess the implementation of Biological Diversity Act and ABS provisions in the State of Uttar Pradesh.

The workshop will provide an international domestic understanding of policy, law and institutional framework of conservation of Biodiversity and Access and Benefit Sharing.

Fee Details: NO FEE. The workshop is sponsored by UNDP.

The workshop has limited seating for 60 persons (The university reserves the right to select the participation of members in case the application received goes beyond 60.

All selected participants shall be intimated of the final decision of the organizers thereupon.

Register before April 15, 2019.

Travel Allowance

Subject to submission of original receipts, the participants shall be entitled to travel allowance up to the maximum of Rs. 600/- for supporting their travel to attend the Workshop.

Accommodation

University has a limited facility for paid accommodation on sharing basis and upon request, the institute shall facilitate accommodation to the participants. This is purely based on availability and timely communication to the organizers.
