Here comes a historic moment for Sikkim since it was born. Meet the First Female IPS Officer of Sikkim, Aparajita Rai. She cracked UPSC Examinations in both 2011 and 2012. She ranked 358 in UPSC 2012 Examinations and was allocated IPS cadre. She is the first Sikkimese to have got such a high rank in UPSC exams so far.
She is the School topper (TNA ISC) 95%, recipient of the Best girl all rounder Shrimati Ratna Pradhan Memorial Trophy in TNA.
She is the Gold medalist from National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in both Jurisprudence and Public Administration. A 28 year old Aparajita Rai is now the First Female IPS Officer of Sikkim. She is now posted in Hoogly in West Bengal.
Wish her all the best, nice of her to volunteer for the betterment of the people. Hopefully this new generation will improve things for the people. I am giving exams for IAS too, hopefully I’ll be make a difference as well.
