As part of the V RMLNLU National Mediation Competition, 2019, the Legal Aid Committee is organizing a one-day Mediation-Negotiation Conflict Resolution Programme on Day 0 of the Competition i.e. on 18th January’ 2019 with the objective to nurture the skills involved in mediation and negotiations in young minds.
The workshops shall be taken by some of the renowned institutes and trainers in the field of conflict resolution namely Ms. Ishana Tripathi of the Negotiation Academy and Mr. Pascal Comvallius. The trainers shall impart their knowledge and experience in the field of conflict resolution to the student community by discussing the various skills and techniques that are required in a mediation/negotiation session.
Ms. Ishana Tripathi is a currently an Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Fellow, 2018, a European Commission sponsored programme with The Negotiation Academy. Ishana has years of practice in commercial litigation (including bankruptcy, debt restructuring) and ADR. She has a mixed bag of experience and has worked on legislation and government policy, setting up of dispute resolution programmes across the world.
Mr. Pascal Comvalius is an International trainer and IMI certified mediator specializing in criminal law, family and divorce. He is also a certified Crisis / Hostage negotiator. He obtained his masters degree in “Communication, Behavior and Credibility analysis” from Manchester Metropolitan University. He has been practicing and teaching mediation and negotiation in USA, Europe and Asia and he loves sharing his knowledge and skills with students.
Eligibility
The programme is open to all the students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate/ postgraduate law course provided by a recognized College/Institution/University. The students enrolling for the programme shall be awarded certification for attending the programme.
