Duration of internship and timings
The LegalPundits internship is at will, however, one is treated as an employee on a probation period of 3 months and the salary is hiked after completion of the same.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The office to me looked like a dingy cell, with people glued to their computers; no one interested in talking to anyone else.
The infrastructure as I could see was not impressive, the AC were intact though!
As an intern was expecting that the LegalPundits.com website was run by lawyers and there would be a couple of lawyers working in the office, but my eyes and mind, both opened wide when I saw that there was only one lawyer who supervised everything and the work was all being done by people who get paid for only doing the copy pasting task.
Main tasks
If you are lucky, you will get to make head notes for recent cases of various High Courts and Supreme Court, or you’ll have to write Articles on any topic related to Law.
One can also write commentaries and analyse any Judgment.
However, for those not so fortunate interns who worked during the same period as me, the internship did not have any learning at all.
They were given the regular Copy-Paste work in which one has to copy and paste the exact same government notifications, circulars, policies etc, from the government websites to LegalPundits’ website.
Work environment and people
During my LegalPundits internship I found the work environment to be bad and people rude.
The timings are strictly from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Don’t you ever dare come 10 minutes late also, even if your grandmother suffered a mild heart attack!
Best things
The best thing is that you pack your bags at 6 and leave without anyone stopping you.
Bad things
During my LegalPundits internship I found no one who knew law and when you have a doubt, forget that it’s ever going to be solved.
I could write whatever and was not even corrected!
From 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening, all you are allowed to do is look at you PC and work with constant inquiries about “how much are you done with?”.
You can’t use Whatsapp, Facebook on your phone or attend phone calls or even go down the building for having fresh air.

A legal website may not necessarily be run by lawyers so don’t you post your queries there!
