Office Timings

The timings are 10AM to 6PM.

First day of the internship

I met Advocate Kunwar Singh Sir in his cabin and had a nice introductory session with him. Later he introduced me to the other Associates and Interns. The infrastructure is quite nice; Kunwar Sir has his own cabin while there is a great big hall for the associates and a nice area for the interns.

Main Tasks

I got all the first-hand work here including drafting important documents for the live matters as well as researching on some intriguing propositions relating to Criminal, Civil, Corporate and Commercial Matters such as Code of Civil Procedure, The Indian Succession Act, Arbitration, Labour Laws, Consumer Protection Act, Criminal Breach of Trust, Murder, Cheating, Competition Act, Intellectual Property Rights matters and Cheque Bouncing.

On a regular basis, we used to go to the various courts including High Court and other District Courts in Delhi and Gurugram along with tribunals on various matters. There wasn’t a day when we didn’t have a court matter.

The work environment is super friendly and comfortable. Everyone is extremely understanding and friendly.

If there is any doubt, the interns can easily clarify the doubts with the associates or even  Kunwar sir.

However, if any work has been assigned to you, you should complete it by the given time diligently. Never take work and then sleep on it.

Even if you are expected to know something but you do not know about it, you can always ask the associates because nobody would ever judge you for anything there.

My advice is to work as much as you can and even ask for work if you are not specifically assigned any work. Speaking from experience, I have never learned as much as I learned at KPS Advocates. A major portion of my knowledge in law can easily be attributed to interning at this office.

Interning at KPS Advocates was a great opportunity for me to learn and grow and I tried to utilize the opportunity as much as I could.

My advice

The only key to work here and be acknowledged is hard-work, sincerity and good conduct. I would personally recommend everyone to intern here at least once because my experience of working here was, to be honest, better than working at a Tier-1 firm.
