Duration of Internship and Timings
Interned for a period of 26 days, 6 days a week from 10 am – 6pm.Timings were flexible, not that strict.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On my first day I was a given a book of factual description about Jammu and Kashmir, it had all the information regarding the demographic structure, history, geography, it’s accession to India, United Nation Security Council, etc,.
In short all you need to know about J&K. Then I was asked to write a few words about J&K. Formals were not at all necessary.
Main tasks
Main tasks were to read the books provided by them and to take notes during our lectures/ discussions.
There main motive was to spread the actual truth about the past and present situation of J&K and seriously those lectures were amazing.
Our main task was to submit a final research paper in the end of internship, on the different topics which were assigned to us.
Work environment and people
Work was done mostly from home and we’re assigned to go out sometimes to clear our doubts by the eminent SC and HC advocates and other experienced people who explained us Article 370 and Article 35A, accession of J&K, role of media, etc.
Best things
Lunch time was the best thing when we all used to come together and had lunch after a prayer, and discuss about the emerging issues in various fields but in a relaxed manner.
People there are really nice and helpful and they’re all ready to guide you in various fields.
One great thing about there is you get to know a lot about things there by just talking to certain people and they’ll talk really nicely with you.
Tea/coffee was provided to us twice/thrice a day, lunch could be ordered from a near by place.
Bad things
There were no such bad things.
Stipend
None
Accommodation
I’m a localite so I didn’t need any PG.
