First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Infrastructure is great. I was made to wait for a long time then I submitted all the documents they had asked me to bring.
I was given a place to sit with my own computer. I was briefed by the legal head as to what tasks I’d be doing.
Main tasks
Researched on various Telecommunication Laws specifically the orders, rules and notifications by the TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) relating to barring of ‘discriminatory pricing of data services and how the various regulators have sought to discipline dominant incumbent operators in order to foster competition by a number of methods.
Work environment and people
Work environment is very monotonous. Most of the people are from IT sectors so there is minimal interaction.
Best things
Interning in Reliance, gave an industrial perspective on regulation of telecom sector. The dynamics inherent in telecom industry helped me understand the different facets of commercial undertakings/ projects.
Bad things
1. Monotonous Environment
2. Have to continuously ask for tasks.
3. The only person in charge of giving work is the legal head, who is very busy.
4. May not find any other legal intern.
5. No food or canteen facilities. Carry your own food.

I am a local so I stayed at my Uncle’s house. However many PGs are available.
