Public Prosecutor, District Court of Rewari, Haryana
Application Process
Through personal contact.
Duration of internship and timings
10th December, 2013 – 11th January, 2014
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
I was to work with a Public Prosecutor, so the lady directly took me before the court as she had her matter pending before the court. As such there were no formalities, but the infrastructure of the court was imperfect.
Main tasks
Main task was to observe the court proceedings and read the files.
Work environment and people
Since Rewari is a very small district, so people from villages consider it as Delhi.
The work environment was average. The people were very orthodox, there were a few female lawyers there.
Best things
The best thing was the public Prosecutor herself, she belonged to Naranaul city, in order to practice she used to travel five hours daily. So the kind of determination and dedication she had for her work amazed me.
Bad things
There was not much of learning there.
Stipend
No Stipend.
