Main Tasks
My main job was to draft consultations for our clients and to form a legal opinion on a number of matters pertaining to consumer laws. Other tasks were to research on matters related to Labor laws, Transfer of property and IP laws. As the partner is a member of Quality Council of India, I also got an opportunity to research on a number of assignments given by them.
I was regularly given some or the other drafting work like MOUs, Legal Notices, Sale Agreements, Power of Attorney, etc. which helped to get a good hold over my drafting skills.
Work Environment
The environment of the office space was very work friendly and the people there too were very helpful. I was regularly asked if I was comfortable or not. I had lunch also sometimes with my mentor and other associates.
Timings
The timings were from 11 am to 7 pm, really flexible.
Best Things
The best part was that they believed in the concept of ‘work from home’ so if you are unable to come some day just make sure that where ever you are on earth the works get completed. And yes the typical ‘white shirt and black pants’ attire was not compulsory.
It was a great experience altogether!
