First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

First day formalities were nothing as such. Introduction with all the Junior associates. They were all quite friendly.

The office is a small, good enough but a little disorganized and is on the basement of Sir’s house itself in Defence colony.

Main tasks

As the firm is basically a criminal litigation firm, Pramod Sir, being the head. We were supposed to, prepare case notes, list of evidences. Some application drafting and research on question of law pertaining to IPC, CrPC, Prevention of Money laundering act etc, to name a few.

Work environment and people

The work environment was very friendly and comfortable. The associates were very chill people and it was a good learning experience with them.

The cases were openly discussed in front of interns too and our inputs were asked as well.

Best things

The interns were treated as responsible people and were allotted work in their individual capacity which made them in a way accountable for it.

Friendly and funny associates as well as Sir, in his own way.

Bad things

No coffee machine.

Biggest Lessons

Judgement are result of the explanation and proving of every set of argumentation. I observed how criminal lawyers twist the case towards themselves.

Made me understand that how morality is something subjective and being a criminal lawyer their major aim is to protect the client in whatever manner, rest all is ancillary.
