Its quite simple. A letter stating the duration and interest in doing internship with them along with the college recommendation and a photocopy of the identity card – all this need to be submitted at the main desk and internship dates will be provided to them according to the next free slot available.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

Things are quite strict there. The atmosphere in the court room was even stricter than the classes in my school.

Everyone has to comply with the dress code failing which would amount to in-disciplinary conduct that would reflect in the certificate .

Infrastructure is quite good with full air conditioner .

Main tasks

1st hour (11.30 – 1.00 pm) – the court seats and cases hearing are done.

2nd hour (1.30 -3 pm) – case file reading.

Work environment and people

People are quite friendly and has a good environment.

Best things

The judge who will himself brief the facts and give a proper analysis.

Guidance and actual learning.

Interaction with the parties to the case.

Student given to handle cases.

Seminars by actual department authorities.

Biggest Lessons

Learnt about IPC, Constitution, CRPC and Evidence. So students can learn about the relevancy by studying the actual case.

It will give a workplace environment thus making students accustomed to professional world.

I am a resident of Bhubaneswar town so i did not have to stay in a pg as such . But yes a numerous number of pg’s are available . One can opt as per ones requirement and budget.
