Name of the organisation. City
Luthra & Luthra Law Offices. New Delhi
How big was the office? Team strength?
It was in 2 floors. One on the 1 st floor and other on the 9th floor. Team strength was around 250-300 or may be more.
Application procedure. Internship contact details
I got it through the College Placement Committee.
Duration in weeks. No. of days/week. Timings
3 weeks. 5 days. 10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Accommodation: how, where, how was it?
I stayed in a PG in Patel Nagar. It was bad. Not recommended at all.
First impression. First day, formalities etc.
First impression was just okay. Not much formalities. HR interacted with us and explained the rules and allotted the teams as per our own preference.
Main tasks
Worked extensively on Mergers and Acquisitions, Contracts and other Company law topics. Work was good and quite new and learning.
I was working with a senior associate and an associate and worked extensively on one particular matter hence it helped a lot as I could apply my own logic and understanding. It was not like a research topic given randomly, I could understand the relevance of each of it and also add my inputs.
Work environment, people
Associates were sweet, polite and cooperative. They were easily approachable. However, interns were not allowed to interact with the Partners.
Best things?
Quality of work, sweet and polite associates, separate computers.
Bad things?
Litigation office was so cramped that it can’t be mentioned. A part of office on 1st floor and other on 9th floor was little weird too.
Cakes were cut on Christmas and New year but interns weren’t in the office despite being on the same floor.
Per day stipend system.
What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues
There is Haldirams, KFC, Dominos nearby and many places to go around.
Stipend/ month
200 per day
