Internship Experience @ Lex Favios, New Delhi: Attend Court Visits, Research on Company Laws

I was selected as an intern at Lex Favios, Delhi for a period of 2 months from my college.

Location

The office of the firm is situated on 3rd floor E 277 Greater Kailash, New Delhi hardly 5 minutes walking distance from Kailash Colony Metro Station.

About the Intern

I have completed my law graduation from Amity Law School, during my final semester I got an opportunity to work with this firm. I joined the firm on 9th January, 2017.

Office Timings

The office starts at 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, I reached the office by 9:45 AM of the first day.

First Day, First Impression

I was received by the office boy and was asked to wait in the waiting area just after 5 minutes I was called by a ma’am for the introductory session, she was also my mentor.

After having a small session with everyone especially with Adv Sumes Dewan Sir the Managing Partner of the firm I was briefed about the working of the firm and how to work in the firm.

On the first day, I was not given too much of work I was tasked to understand Company Law and have some research done on some provisions of the same.

Internship Experience

Slowly as my days were passing the works which were given to me were getting more complex but I was having fun to do all task which were given to me because everyday I was learning something new and also no one was forcing to you work or burdening you to work and also on each and every step of the task, if there exists some problem it was solved by the others in a very good way.

All the Seniors over there were so nice to me, they never treated as an intern, they always treated as a member of their team and if I got a problem at any point everyone was ready to help me.

There were time to time court visits to attend case hearings and also sometimes to visit a Senior Counsel for the briefing of a certain case.

Work Environment

The work environment of the firm is very good for working.

You don’t need to carry anything except your tiffin and stationery, a computer system will be provided to you by the firm itself, in fact a diary will also be given to you for maintenance of the record and also to note down important things.

Overall working experience in the firm was very good, a good stipend was given to me on my last day plus the traveling allowances was also given to me for all the visits I made on behalf of the firm.

As it is a growing firm it has got good potentials in it, and the best quality is that everyone of the firm interacts with you even the partners. So it’s very good to work here.
