First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

I met the HR first who gave me some forms to fill up and asked to meet the internship coordinator, sitting in the very next room. The internship coordinator is a friendly man who asked me some questions regarding my college, college infrastructure, life at law school, and also the department for which i want to work. He introduced me to the Partner, Principal Associates, the other Associates there in the firm.

Main tasks

In the initial days I was working under the Real Estate Department where I was asked to summarize various statutes and Andhra Pradesh bye laws. Then when I got shifted to the Corporate Department I got a lot of research work to do on cross border transactions.

Work environment and people

Work environment is pretty good. Every one is busy with their own assignments. Professionalism at its level best.

The best thing is that they are helpful and always ready to solve your doubts.

Best things

Working under the Corporate Department I learn a lot on cross border transactions, FEMA Regulations, how these transactions take place in the real life.

Learn how to draft complex legal matters in simple language so that it can be easy for the client to follow and comply with.

Everyday I used to get a new assignment with new things to research upon. So, this make the work never boring but rather with the complexity, it makes the work more challenging.

Bad things

In spite of working so much for the firm for the last one month, completing all its given assignment when they don’t pay a single penny as a stipend, it makes you feel bad.

Biggest Lessons

I gathered a lot of practical experiences regarding how in real life a commercial transaction takes place.

During my internship i was asked to write a legal advice and that was given to the client , it was undoubtedly a remarkable incident for me.

Accommodation

I stayed in a PG and its very easy to get a PG in Hyderabad because of the IT Hub. My office and my PG both were in the same locality so i never faced the problem of transportation.

Office Timings

10 am – 6 pm. It may extend to 9 pm depending on the work pressure.
