First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day, I was asked to report by 10 am. When I reached the office I was asked to sit in the conference room. The legal head of the bank came after half an hour and interacted with me regarding my college and area of interest.
Then I was given a place to sit where generally the interns sits. There was also another intern present at the office. We were given a loan agreement to read.
Main tasks
We were given briefs on arbitration matters Section 9 and 34, consumer complaints, title suits, writ petitions and were asked to make summaries of the cases.
We were also sent to advocates chambers to read briefs and do research oriented work.
Work environment and people
The people in the office are really helpful and approachable. You can freely go up to them and ask questions, they will answer all your queries with patience. Even, on our second day the legal head explained to us various provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
Best things
The office timing was flexible. You can get coffee anytime you want.
Bad things
There were few days when there was very little work.

Biggest Lessons
This is my first internship with a bank and from this internship I got to know how the legal team of a bank works. From this internship I have learnt one thing that never hesitate to ask for work during an internship.

Accommodation
I am from Kolkata so accommodation was not a problem for me. Non-residents can easily find Pgs and hostels in that area.
Office Timings
10 am to 4 pm. You may leave early if you have any work after taking the permission of the legal head.
