Duration of internship and timings

It was a full month internship. 1st June – 30th June, 2016.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The first impression was very good and impressive. They took attendance on the very first day. Even provided refreshments on the days when we were asked to come.

As it was Government office we thought it would be dirty but it was contrary. Infrastructure was good and spacious.

Main tasks

The main task we were assigned was write a report on a heating legal issue. They taught us how to make and compile a report.

Moreover, seminars by officials of Judicial department situated in Lucknow were also conducted.

Work environment and people

Environment was very friendly. We enjoyed working there. They also have an informative library.

Best things

The unity and systematic working was the best thing. As it was Human Rights Commission, Human Rights was priority.

There selfless desire to provide quick and free justice to all people in need.

Bad things

They were a little bit lethargic.

Stipend

No stipend.

Biggest Lessons

The biggest lesson we all got was to learn punctuality. Formal attitude which is necessary in an organisation.

Moreover, we made great friends. Learnt a lot from them, taught them a lot. It was good experience overall.

It is all about helping each other and never leaving an opportunity to learn something new.

Accommodation

Did not stay in a pg or even in Lucknow. As my hometown is Kanpur itself so I used to go up and down daily.

Office Timings

10 am to 3pm for interns and for the employees 10 am to 5 pm.
