TSRDS is one of the many community initiatives by Tata Steel based in Jamshedpur which focused on health services. The office is a very small and humble space with very friendly people.
Experience
I was made to work on the RISHTA project by the Organization which focused on the improvement and awareness of sexual health and wellness among adolescents in the rural areas of Jharkhand and Odisha.
For a first year law student, it’s a very good internship as it involved a lot of field work. Every day, I was taken to various rural areas where there would be medical camps or other awareness activities by TSRDS for the locals. My job was to conduct a survey and interview teenagers about their sexual health awareness and the impact RISHTA project had on their lives.
The findings of this survey was shown in the form of a presentation on my last day of my internship in front of the team, which was appreciated.
I had a good experience and would highly recommend to first/second law students or any student who is inclined towards community service.
