Application Process

I happened to get the contact of AGP through one of my relative. He knowing my interest in internship accepted my application.

So there was no exact application process to approach him.

Duration of internship and timings

Since I had my college during morning hours, I interned during the afternoon session between 3.00 p.m to 7.00 p.m.

The internship was from Jan 2013- Dec 2013.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

During my first day I was assigned with judgement reading and was questioned over various subjects as a test of basic knowledge over legal provisions.

There were no big formalities as such. However he being an AGP was allotted with an air conditioned chamber within the premises of Madras High Court itself.

Main tasks

I was mostly assigned with drafting and research work which are the best things.

My Senior Advocate would spare his free time to teach me all the crucial aspects of law. He was the one to teach me what real court proceedings are.

Work environment and people

The work environment was very friendly. Dedicated towards hard work, punctuality everyone around would be busy with the works assigned to them.

Best things

To mention, a first time learner will be inspired in all the ways to work in his office.

The advocate previously was a professor and hence he would spare his free time to teach technical and crucial aspects of law. Here is the place one can find whether he is dedicated towards his work.

Bad things

There are no bad things to mention in specific since I liked the internship very much. Stipend Rs.2000-2500/- varies for every month.
