They asked me to be there at around 9.30 AM. I was there on time but the sir who had called came around 11.30.
They have two offices, small but spacious enough to work and also enough systems to work on.
They have a good library to carry out the research work that’s given.
Main tasks
Research Work
Vetting documents
Drafting Pleadings and counters
Court visits
Work environment and people
The work environment that I saw in SRS is by far the best. The Partner’s greet everyone in the office everyday in the morning and also before leaving would go personally to everyone to end the day.
A knowledgeable team of polite and humble people .
Whatever work i given, people will guide you how to go about it and give enough time to complete it. The staff members were also very helpful and humble and the best part was that they were treated just like other people in the office.
Its just like a family working together.
Best things
THE TEA 😀
Whatever work they give, they’ll give ample time to complete and also provide all the help.
You get to see senior advocates arguing.
Sit in client meetings and feel like a part of the firm.
Learn a lot of things. As far as I am considered, I learnt a great deal of work, mainly drafting.
Bad things
At times there is no work and you have to sit idle in the office for hours.
Stipend
NO STIPEND
Biggest Lessons
No work is small and words play a great role in drafting, how to put forth arguments and how exactly should one proceed with a case at hand.
Any Other Thing
You might be the one to get to the office and might have to wait for the door to be opened.
Once you get in, its just like your own workplace.
