Duration of internship and timings

My duration of internship was the entire month of May and the timings were from 9:00 a.m to 7:30 p.m.

However you can come late in the office which can be extended up to 10:30 but not beyond that .

Leaving at 7:30 p.m was compulsory even if you didn’t have work for the entire day.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On my first day I waited in the reception for an hour.

Then a senior associate (he was the person through whom I got an internship) came and took me to the partner’s room.

There was a HR interview with him then I was being taken to my cubical.

I was given my digital gate pass which was pretty cool.

The first day impression was really good, on the very first day I attended a video conferencing with the clients living in London.

The infrastructure was nice not something very extraordinarily though.

Main tasks

My main task was to do research.

Research asked by them was always on the ongoing matter so the opinion given by me used to be relevant and I felt like I was the part of the firm.

The opinion had to be drafted very well and my first opinion was badly drafted.

However there were no screaming instead I sat in the partner’s room and he taught me the drafting which went for 7 hours.

I was also made to draft rent agreements, purchase agreements. The work given was good and I learnt a lot there.

Work environment and people

The people there were jolly and they are also about teaching good work to people.

They sometimes had office parties also with no reason!

The work environment as you can see was chilled out. 🙂

I got a Germany chocolates box there on my last day from the associates there. 🙂
