Application Process with contact details
I interned under senior advocate Debesh Panda for 1 month in the month of May, 2016. I got this internship by applying via the training and placement cell of my college.
Duration of internship and timings
May 1, 2016 to May 31,2016
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day I was informed about the office, my duties and a task was assigned to me. The office is situated in the basement and has the important law books which can be used while researching.
Main tasks
I basically assisted the advocate by researching for cases. I researched upon the interpretation of same interest (mentioned in consumer protect act) in other statues, I researched upon section 120-b of IPC and I researched upon adverse possession.
Work environment and people
The people at Debesh Panda’s office were friendly and helped me where ever I had doubts. They were understanding too- I had to necessarily leave office by 6:30 as I lived far and they accommodated with the same.
Best things
The learning experiences experience that I got through this internship, I got to know how to research in a better manner and how the intention of legislature can be understood by reading various statutes.
Bad things
Office was six days a week, sometimes we were expected to come on Sundays to and there were no eating joints near by. So all of the interns felt secluded.
Stipend
5000
Biggest Lessons
The amount of hardwork Debesh Panda sir put up in cases was commendable and it motivated me to do the same in life.
Office Timings
The timings were strict and it was from 10 am to 6:30 pm
