Due to more number of students, two batches were created.
1st batch was from 10.30am -1.30pm
2nd batch was from 2.30pm-5.30pm.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day, an orientation programme was held about what the commission stand for and what is the nature of the work they do. Then they circulated some books regarding Human rights and the rules of the commission.
Main tasks
We got the chance to read the documents having brief cases from different locations of Odisha. And some times Justice Raghubir Das used to come and interact with us regarding the proceedings. I saw some court proceedings and made notes of it.
Work environment and people
People at the office were very friendly and motivating. There was a group of students from my college who interned there.
Best things
It was a good exposure as I was interning for the first time. It was a great experience to saw a court proceeding and interact with such an eminent person sharing his knowledge with us. That was the best part of the whole training period.
Bad things
Every day, we were handed with the same records which bored us sometimes.
Nevertheless, some co- interns made it memorable. For beginners of law as a student, this commission is really helpful to gain some knowledge about law.

No stipend was provided.
Accommodation
I stayed at my hostel.
Biggest lessons
Vital judgments, the Human Rights Court procedures, the forces of the Human Rights Court and how it can make senior state authorities including police workforce and IAS officers responsible for various human rights infringement cases, the suo motu force of the Commission to take up cases and different arrangements of the CRPC and Torts were few of the parts of my learning at the OHRC.
