Name of Organisation, Location, Team Strength
National Human Rights Commission, Delhi
Application Process
I applied through the advertisement on their website which is always available and one should follow the procedure as prescribed.
Duration of internship and timings
5th August – 19th August (2 weeks)
10 a.m to 4 p.m
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
First day all the interns were made to sit in seminar room and our documents were verified and later we were given guest lectures about the functioning of the commission.
Main tasks
We were given research topics in groups and the reports were to be submitted followed by a viva.
Work environment and people
The Director sir Mr. Sudarshan is very strict about the timings and the work. His assistant Raheja Sir is very humble and helped us in every possible way.
Best things
Delhi Haat. We were a group of 7-8 people who used to go to delhi haat daily for lunch.
Bad things
Strict timings. If the research report is not appropriate then one has to extend internship for one more week in order to submit the report and collect certificate which was the main issue faced by out stationed students who already got their tickets booked.
Stipend
None.
Biggest Lessons
Team-work.
We were taken on a field trip to Bal Sahyog and that was an amazing experience.
