First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day I was assigned to the suo-moto cell of National Commission for Women.
I could see my in-charge working there with other interns. She introduced me to the work they do and how they do.
There were small cubicles in a big room and the fan plus AC could not be felt. It was deadly during June.
Main tasks
We were assigned different tasks like drafting letters to officials of police or chief secretary of State, prepare a summary of the orders received from them, enter details of letter sent and received, ask for action taken report from police or other departments and to brief the cell in-charge on any related news or topic.
Work environment and people
People working there were friendly and nice.
There was always something to do and you can never get free.
The cell in-charge was very helpful and never hesitated in explaining anything thrice also.
Best things
It was a wonderful experience learning how the official work is done.
It taught me how to working continuously from morning to evening with half an hour break.
Majorly, officials are concerned with their work and work is carried out effectively.

Biggest Lessons
Not all government offices are same, while some officials have a habit of delaying the work others are keen to work for the betterment of people.
