One needs to have a recommendation letter from the college stating that your college is allowing you to intern in MPHRC.

One can take a P.G. Near Mahararana  Pratap Nagar which is near to the office situated at Arera Hills.

First impression. First day, formalities etc.

First Day  itself they asked about Basics of Human Rights & Protection of Human Rights Act,1993 by the Researcher Officer.

Main tasks

• Attended Court Proceedings
• Lots of  Field Visits (Slum areas, Govt. Hospitals, Special Homes all around etc)
• Project Submission

Work environment, people

People are very strict for the timings, the law officer, research officer & even librarian  used to keep a check on every intern.

Even on the field visit one must give their reporting to the office which was very hectic.

Co-interns made the workplace more happening as we were divided into groups for the field visits and without their support internship at such place was never successful

Best things

They will guide you where you have to go and prepare questionnaires for the Field Visits and compile report you need to submit.

They treat you as an Employee so you should report there on time otherwise they make a make a phone call.

On a personal note, I must say it’s a responsible organization.

Bad things

One can’t take holiday more than 3 days for a month and they are very strict for the timings.

One can’t leave the office early even if you finished up your work as it is totally a government organization and their main motive is to give training you as an employee not as a intern.
