I had applied with the court registry which placed me under My Lord.
Duration of internship and timings
22nd November to 20th December.
10: 00 to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Saturday (depended on My Lord’s sitting)
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the very first day, I was asked to do the research in the judge’s library.
Allahabad High Court is magnificent.
My Lord’s chamber was really nice.
Main tasks
Reading case files, preparing notes, research.
Court hearings, discussions and drafting work, report submission.
Work environment and people
My lord is really focused and disciplined. I did not have any co-interns.
Best things
Witnessing land mark cases being adjudicated upon.

Doing research for judgments is not at all easy.
