Application Process
The application process was quite simple.

As the required internship duration approached, I got a reply that my application has been accepted.
Duration
10th December, 2014 to 10th January, 2015.
First Day
The very first day, I reported at normal office time i.e. around 9:30-10 am. Then I met the Senior Advocate and she later introduced me to other advocates and solicitors at the firm.
The firm is located in Jangpura, which had 4 cabins, 1 conference room, 1 small library plus the room for interns and a separate area for junior lawyers. The firm includes 10-12 members including senior advocates, junior advocates and the clerk.
Main tasks
The senior advocate under whom I interned and also the associates gave me a lot of practical knowledge.
My main tasks were-
• Research work on Civil and Criminal cases.
• Drafted general applications.
• Drafted Consumer Complaints.
• Made notes and memos of pending Special Leave Petitions.
I also attended their Supreme Court matters twice.
Environment
The work environment was good. I used to have a specific deadline on each research work I was assigned.
The deadline could vary from the same day to the next day.
All the advocates were very cordial.
Best things
Ginger Tea! What one wants in the foggy and bone-chilling weather of Delhi!
Well, the tea breaks were really refreshing.
The main best thing was one could learn all sort of cases (whether civil or criminal).
There is a lot of practical knowledge which one can easily gain.
Bad things
There were very less Supreme Court visits, where I looked forward to have more.
Stipend
No Stipend.
Biggest Lessons
As they say, “Punctuality is the soul of business.”
What I observed was that all the senior as well as the junior advocates used to be at their cabin/desk at work with full energy.
