About BHRC
The Human Rights Commission is an autonomous high power human rights watch body which derives its authority from the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993.
BHRC is mainstreaming a human rights approach in legislation, policies and programmes. The Commission has worked in inculcating, nourishing and sustaining human rights awareness and sensitization.

Work
I was allotted the work of reading 20 leading cases fully redressed by the Commission and preparing brief on them.
Meetings were held with the Members of BHRC every Friday. There were Guest visits and interactive sessions whereby our queries were solved.
Good Things
The best part of working with BHRC was the atmosphere.
It was a great mixture of a dedication and a relaxed environment.
Every intern gave each other ample space. The officials were extremely courteous and helpful.
They all made me feel very comfortable around them and were extremely pleasant to work with.
Though working would become quite tedious at times.
Bad Things
The most terrible part of the experience was travelling.
The hot and humid climate of Patna drenched all my energy at the end of the day.
Getting conveyance was not easy. Getting struck due to transport strikes and Parivartan Rally added to the problems.
Stipend
No Stipend.
