First Day Formalities Initial Impressions
The office is quite good with plush clientele, the decor is aesthetically pleasing, with Wi-Fi Facilities, Library and the rooms are equipped with air conditioning system as well. SSA is located in Delhi’s one of the posh area. The office is built with spectacular interiors and is quite spacious.
The firm mainly deals with commercial laws including the SARFAESI Act, 2002, PMLA, Consumer Protection Act, 1986, Arbitration Act, 1996 and IBC. They have various financial institutions as their clientele and you get an interesting perspective of representing some well known financial institution.
On the very first day, you meet with Sanjeev Sir who will introduce you to the other associates as they provide the work to interns.
Main Tasks
Interns are expected to visit the respective courts or tribunals along with associates according to the daily cause list. They have abundant cases listed in DRT daily and one gets a good experience of working of DRT.
After the court, interns come to the office and start working on the work given to them. Mainly research work is given to the interns however if you are interested they will provide you with drafting work. If you don’t have any work you can simply ask for it. They have plenty of work if you really want to learn.
Good Things
The good things were observing the court proceedings in the Delhi High Court and various District courts in Delhi and watching Sanjeev Sir argue.
During the Internship, I learnt a lot of practical things important in Litigation. Interns were provided with Tea/Coffee.
Most of the staff of SSA is young and active. They never treat you as an intern and if they have some extra time they will help you understand the entire law. I was taught the PMLA and Arbitration Act, 1996 in entirety.
Since the Associates were young and beginners, you get an interesting perspective regarding your future career options and learn from the mistakes they did in their law school life.
Interns used to have lunch with the Associates and the environment is quite positive. Neither interns nor any associate of the firm is ever considered incompetent to do any work and they make sure that we understood the law and the intricacies of the work given.

Accommodation Commute
Office timings are 10:30 to 6:00 PM for interns. The timings are quite relaxed and if you want to learn you can stay for long as well.
