About the internship
Internship with NALSA was a great opportunity for every law student where you get knowledge about the mechanism of the legal system at district state and national level.
Main task
There was no hard and fast main task, you just visit many authority. We all interns visited Tihar jail no 5, JJB, Juvenile observation home, labour court and commissioner office, mental health establishment like Asha Kiran and SDM court etc during the two weeks internship with DLSA of your choice at the time of you choose by filled your form.
After that we joined Salsa at Patiala house court New Delhi were the first day the additional secretary MS.Narmita Aggarwal of salsa brief us about legal services authority and after that, she briefs us about the survey which is the main task for us to promote the fundamentals right and duties about 4 days.
At last, we joined NALSA at ILI, New Delhi for 3 days and discuss our experience with coordinator Mr. G.B Ravichandren sir.
Last day the secretary of NALSA cheered us and distributed certificate.
Best thing
State legal services authority, Patiala house court provide us with delicious breakfasts which contain a sandwich, rasogulla, biscuits with tea. At ILI we got breakfast and lunch and high tea. Most important we interacted with many people like judges, secretary panel lawyer and superintendent of jail etc.
Bad things
There was not any bad things but they cannot provide any stipend you bear all expenses of travel and accommodation by yourself.
Office timings
The office timings were about 10.30 a.m to 5.00 pm but it differs every day as we generally had visited all through the internship. I mostly got free by 3 pm.
