First of all, I had applied to the Lead attorney, Mr. M.L.Joseph through email for seeking internship for the Month of June 2019. He said me to send my updated CV to mljscla@gmail.com.

First Day Formalities Initial Impressions

To find out the office was a big task because it’s a high rush area where the High Court of Madras is located. On the very first day, when I entered the office, all the litigants in the office were organized in the lead attorney’s cabin for discussion of the particular day’s schedule.

As soon as I entered, Joseph sir and I had a 30 minutes conversation. It was a friendly office which I have never seen.

Main Tasks

The main tasks which were allotted to me were, to make in-depth research on a trademarks case. Daily all the interns are required to go to the Madras High Court and other courts in and around Madras.

Good Things

The very first good thing is that it was a friendly office. The next is, all the partners, i.e. Joseph sir, Amar sir (Partner), and Shubashini Ma’am (Partner) were in full swing in encouraging the interns.

Rest of these 3 partners, there are 2 associate’s called Mr. Shakthivel and Ms. Nandini, both were very young and energetic in nature.

Usually, I will go to courts either with Shakthivel sir or Nandini ma’am. It was a better experience on the litigation side for me. No one in the office would hesitate to clear any doubts which interns come across. Daily, will get a Tea or Coffee in the Morning 10.30 to 11
30 and Evening around 4 will have another Tea or Coffee.

Bad Things

Slightly will get bored, when there is no work allocated to the interns.

As I am from Salem, I took a mansion at Triplicane, opp to Chepauk Stadium. Though the local train, I travelled from my place to the office.

Other Info

As the beach is nearby all my times were spent there. Also, I had my friends there so I chilled out with them.
