First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
The formalities for the first day were not as formal as it used to have in an internship. A little introduction with their personnel and fellow internees in the offices was the start of my day.
Though I didn’t get to meet the partner on the first day my orientation for work was taken up by Senior Associate Mr. Dinesh. The office was rented in a house and internees were made to sit in the small room of 7 feet height.
Due to proper air conditioning, we managed it well. Many Internees were doing CA courses and are getting training in their courses, the no. of lawyers practicing tax were very handful. Hence, I believe my first impression is very good on the first
day.
Main Tasks
Tasks were designed depends upon the training you get in the firm. I got orientation which is mostly of Indirect Tax i.e. GST, I could file GST returns that are low in amount or having low no of sale entries.
Good Things
Due to less no. of tax law practitioner in the firm, I get personal attention from the associate and the partner later.
Bad Things
Space for internees was very less for doing work. If there are more numbers of client showed up, we have to shift or stop our work for the time being.
Stipend
No stipend
Accommodation, Commuting to the Office
It was near to my house. I usually visited with my dad, who drop me every day. But, there are numbers of PG’s in and around the Offices.
