First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression
One is required to submit a copy each of class 10th ,12th and Law School Marksheets, Identity proofs, one passport size photograph which shall be used for id card, after submission of documents, HR would give an Induction programme which primarily contains a brief about company’s policies.
To the end, one would receive his/her Laptop, ID card and would be assigned a workstation. As Office is situated in Bagmane Tech Park, campus if of a world-class standard and is also host to giants like Boeing, Lenevo and Bosch. My impression of Bank Bazaar was spectacular, it gave a relaxed vibe.
Main tasks
Assignments varied between Research, Drafting and Briefing. As Bank Bazaar is a fintech, I had to research laws and policies relating to the fintech sector. To mention a few, I drafted a buyer-seller agreement, an internal policy. My main task was to analyse the risk involved in contracts with external parties. One also must make presentations on development in policies related to intermediaries and fintech’s.
Good things
- Legal Team is extremely friendly and approachable, it was very easy to ask clarifications and clear doubts.
- They maintain a high professional standard of work culture.
- My stint at bank bazaar felt that I was contributing to the organisation and felt like part of the team.
- No compulsion of wearing formals.

Accommodation, commuting to the office
Stayed at College Hostel, commuting to the office was the worst part had to ride for about 60km’s a day, was worth but.
Anything else, what you did to chill out, lessons learnt etc
People were friendly; the whole legal team would order ice cream after lunch and even took me to lunch at the end of the internship. My lesson from this internship was that one’s job is to give solutions and not spit out theoretical knowledge.
